Day by Day Counseling Group, LLC is a private practice founded by Dayamiaha Jones. Our purpose is simply to help those we can in their everyday struggles that are unique to them. Our practice provides a non-judgmental environment that provides services for individuals, couples, families, and groups. Every day is a whole new day! Dayamiaha Jones

Dayamiaha Jones is the owner of Day by Day Counseling Group LLC. She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor with the State of Ohio. Dayamiaha earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Ohio Dominican University. She then studied Marriage, Couple and Family Counseling at Walden University earning a Master of Science in 2019. Day has had the pleasure of working with adolescents and families at jobs such as Boys & Girls Club of Columbus, and at Franklin County Department of Job and Family Services. She has experience in community mental health and private practice counseling. Day’s purpose in life is to help others and inspire individuals to be the best version of themselves. Dayamiaha uses multiple treatment theories and techniques such as Art Therapy, Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and more. Day enjoys spending time with family and friends, dancing and doing arts and crafts.

Individual counseling is when an individual receives one on one counseling with a trained professional. The individual receives support with challenges one is facing in their life. Examples of personal topics discussed in individual counseling are anger, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, marriage and relationship challenges, parenting problems, school difficulties, career changes etc.

Couples counseling is a form of counseling for intimate partners (married and unmarried couples). The couple works to resolve conflicts that are impacting their relationship. The goal is to establish attainable expectations and goals for their relationship

Family counseling is aimed at helping everyone in the family support and understand each other. Family is considered a group of people who care about each other and/or consider each other family. Family counseling can include parents, children, partners, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, caregivers and more. Topics discussed in therapy include but are not limited to change in family dynamics, mental health concerns, substance use, divorce, trauma , moving and more.
